Be very patient! I felt the need to click and open the settings and help menus to make sure the application was not frozen. cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Garmin/Express wine express.exeīe aware it takes a fairly long time to sync - and it appears to halt every now and then. I started Garmin Express using command line by cd into wine directory and started it using wine directly. I generally followed the steps listed in WineHQ: Install exfat utils (again not 100% if necessary) sudo apt-get install exfat-fuse exfat-utils Install/update MTP libs (not 100% sure if necessary, but still no harm) sudo apt-get install mtp-tools Ignore any and all error messages from the installation application. This should probably work for other versions, but YMMV. So after a lot of trial and error, I've managed to get Garmin Express to run under Wine on my Ubuntu Linux 21.10!
